This song was written to support teachers and all they do to help students of all ages learn and become better people. Teachers sometimes have a bad rap from the non-teaching public because they think that teachers perhaps have it easy, and get paid a decent amount of money for not doing too much. If they only knew!

Having been a college professor for many years, I can tell you definitively how hard most teachers work to get each and every student though to graduation. It is NOT always easy..trust me. Most teachers that I know anyway, put long hard extra hours, that they do not get paid for, in to helping students who are struggling get through a particular subject. And when that light goes on, it is a wonderful feeling, not only for the student, but for the teacher as well. 

I salute ALL educators, no matter what and no matter where.
